By definition "Renewable energy" is energy generated from natural resources, such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, currents in the ocean and geothermal [Wikipedia].
Planet earth have more than 70% of water in the surface, this turn very important the energy coming from the ocean.
Wave power is the transport of energy by ocean surface waves, and the capture of that energy for electricity generation. Wave power generation is currently not employed, just researchers have working on it.

Renewable Energy
The energy provided by the Sun, wind, thermal and ocean, or by mean of the nature more generally speaking can be used to feed the world without other more traditional energy.
